Thai Yoga Massage 1 – Part One of Thai Yoga Massage Certificate
5 days or 2 weekends (Friday evening all day Saturday & Sunday)
"Thai Yoga Massage 1" is the first of two courses leading to the Lotus Palm Essential Certification. Learn to perform a complete 90-minute massage for the entire body: shoulders, back, arms, legs, feet, abdomen, head and neck. This course will focus on Lotus Palm's Four Basics of Thai massage (awareness, body mechanics, movement, and touch techniques), that allows the practitioner to move effortlessly between postures. We will discuss the history of Thai Massage and the concept of Sen or energy lines. An introduction to contraindications, as well as care for both practitioner and recipient before, during, and after the massage is presented.
Thai Yoga Massage 2 – Part Two of Thai Massage Certificate
(Prerequisite Thai Massage 1)
5 days or 2 weekends (Friday evening all day Saturday & Sunday)
This course builds on the foundations of Thai Massage. It begins with a review Thai Yoga Massage 1 postures, then we will learn 90 minutes of additional Thai Massage techniques including side lying postures, how to customize massages to accommodate people of different size, flexibility & ability and more about Sen Lines.
Thai Yoga Massage 3
(Prerequisite Thai Massage 1 & 2)
5 days (Wednesday through Sunday)
Learn the fundamentals of Ayurveda an ancient Indian healing system and sister science to yoga while bridging Thai massage to part of it's historical roots. Students learn practical methods of applying this knowledge to deepen their practice. Learn a new 60 minute Thai Yoga massage routine and how to customize it according to a person's Ayurvedic body-type (vata, pita or kapha)
Thai Yoga Massage 4
(Prerequisite Thai Massage 1, 2 & 3)
5 days (Wednesday through Sunday)
Along with a complete review of TYM 3 learn a 90 minute routine, identify and massage 18 marma points, prevention and therapeutic relief for common ailments for each dosha and how to create a 4-session Thai Yoga Massage wellness program.
3-Hour Taste of Thai Massage
In this 3-hour course, students are introduced to the practice of Thai Yoga Massage. Through demonstration and hands-on practice you will learn a basic 20-minute form and gain first hand experience in both giving and receiving a Thai Yoga Massage.
This is an invaluable introduction for those wishing to learn more, begin studying with us or simply to learn a fully clothed massage that can be shared with family and friends.
No experience is necessary. Just be comfortable being on a mat on the floor.
